Leanda Weimer, LCSW, LSSW
Leanda Weimer graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Ohio Christian University in 2013. She then went on to obtain her Masters of Social Work from Indiana Univeristy in 2018. Leanda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed School Social Worker. She has been in the adoption and foster care field for over 10 years. Leanda has training in Theraplay, Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Leanda has worked in post adoption, pre-adoption and completes adoption home studies in the state of Indiana. Leanda also enjoys presenting education and training for Churches and foster parents.
Nikki Laux, MSW Intern
Nikki is a Master of Social Work (MSW) candidate completing her practicum in individual therapy. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Addiction Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University and has extensive experience working with diverse clients and families. Nikki has previously worked as a case manager and family consultant with court-ordered DCS referrals and has supported individuals facing challenges related to substance use, addiction, anxiety, depression and suicide. She has a strong background in crisis management, safety planning, and supporting individuals experiencing suicidal ideation. Nikki currently serves as the lead caseworker for a mobile crisis team in behavioral health, working with clients of all ages during mental health emergencies. She is trained in CALM (Counseling on Access to Lethal Means) and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) and is also a certified QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Instructor. Nikki is passionate about empowering clients, building strong therapeutic relationships, and helping individuals reach their personal goals.
Fun fact: Outside of work, Nikki enjoys attending live music concerts and spending time with her family.
